Publisher's Synopsis
Institutional Development is recognized as an important element in projects and programmes dedicated to the sustainable alleviation of poverty, the promotion of gender equity, and achieving social justice for marginalized populations. Commissioned by the Netherlands Organization for International Development Co-operation (NOVIB), the report provides an overview of NGO institutional development (ID) in the context of sub-Saharan Africa. Its primary purpose is to assist European NGOs to formulate policies and strategies toward the ID of the NGO community.
