Publisher's Synopsis
This proceeding, ""Irrigation and Drainage"", consists of papers presented at the National Conference on Irrigation and Drainage Engineering held in Honolulu, Hawaii, July 22-26, 1991. The conference featured thirty-three concurrent sessions and a poster session. There were a total of eight sessions on surface/ground water interaction covering such topics as: water quality; vadose zone; aquifer recharge and discharge; geochemistry, and computer models. Four sessions presented information on canal modeling while other sessions discussed such subjects as: agricultural water quality issues; on-farm irrigation management; hydrology in volcanic regions, and the integration of drainage into irrigation design. This collection of papers enables engineers to focus on current and future major issues in irrigation and drainage.
