Jim Pearson, the detective who had sent her to prison, became one of her most trusted friends. He and four of his friends saved Linda's life a second time after which she became a member of his small group of people who took the same oath, "Hurt any member of my family, or extended family, and they will never find your body." When one of her best friends, Fred Black, was shot by bank robbers, Linda and her friends tracked down the shooters. She now stood in front of them. She looked them straight in the eyes and said;" I told you once before not to hurt my friends or you would pay. This time you went too far." She maintained eye contact as she calmly pulled the trigger on her .45 automatic pistol. She had given the shooters of her friend the same chance their victim had...None.
