An account of my journey through the Yemen appeared last autumn in a series of articles in the 'illustrated London N ews, ' and it is with kind permission of the proprietors of that paper that some of the illustrations reappear here. Many of the illustrations, however, have not seen the light of day before.
The chapter on the Yemen rebellion was published as an article in Blackwood's Magazine for February last.
