Samaria has suddenly and inexplicably been hit by a series of vicious hurricanes. Crops and villages have been destroyed and, for the first time, the Angels' intercession has proved fruitless. Jovah appears to be deaf to all pleas.
The Archangel Delilah has been sorely wounded and none can heal her: now she sings for her supper in a local tavern. There a young craftsman called Noah falls in love with her. He is in the process of building a miraculous, motorized ship.
The storms continue unabated. Clearly, Jovah must somehow be placated. But how, if He no longer heeds the Angels' prayers or songs? Then a cryptic message is received from God. A mission must set forth to find Him: but when they do, how will the people of Samaria react to the knowledge that the Lord they have worshipped for centuries is, in fact, an intelligent spacecraft?
