About the Author
Nicholas D'Andrea, Jr., one of ten children, was born and raised in Connecticut. He attended the University of Connecticut and Central Connecticut State University where he studied the natural sciences. He first published Just around the Bend in 1992. Twenty-five years later, he is happy to share once again this nostalgic potpourri of verse that considers the seasons, holidays, love, and friends, exploring a spectrum of pleasures that are "just around the bend" waiting to make life more enjoyable.
Mr. D'Andrea is also the author of High-Speed Chase and We Meet Again, and has published books written by family members such as The Story Garden by Sharon D'Andrea, The Gift of a Song by Seraphim D'Andrea, and The Carousel of Life by Lillian Stepney. In addition to poetry, Mr. D'Andrea also writes short stories and music. He enjoys acting and has appeared at the Thomaston Opera House and the Clockwork Repertory Theater in Litchfield County, Connecticut.
