Publisher's Synopsis
I have often used the line, "Get out from behind the social media accounts and go have a conversation with someone" as my exit from all my interviews.
It probably doesn't mean much to a lot of people but to me, it is something that has kept me going and kept me at it during the hardest of times.
I've never been one to just tell people what to do or what to say, as it's not my place to do so. But I can say that I've been open and honest about the need for more civility in our society.
We have become too polarized in our thinking, in our connections, and in our day-to-day life. I can't point to one moment in time, one person, or one thing that changed our society, but it has become clearer and clearer that our society is broken and we have forgotten the path to having a conversation with each other. Conversations are the cornerstone of a good society. We all win when we have a civil conversation with someone. We don't get the hate, we don't get the anger, and we certainly don't get the death threats that come with people thinking their side is correct, and your side is wrong.
