Lance is best know for his music which is a blend of American folk and roots rock with experimental and avant garde techniques, but he is also an avid visual artist and writer. "The works in this book are the contents of a spiral-bound notebook which I was keeping about five or six years ago," says Lance. "When I write in free verse I tend to write without a filter, so these are the naked, raw contents of my psyche at that time in my life."
