In the 21st century Voodoo practitioners are found all over the world; from its origins in West Africa, to Haiti where it fuelled the Revolution, in New Orleans where Tradition adapted to an urban environment, in Rio de Janeiro where it merged with European Witchcraft, and in the UK in Brixton and Dalston, where the African population of London are concentrated, and Bristol, which continued to operate as a port for slave ships long after British government officially outlawed the practice. We number in the hundreds of millions, and our numbers continue to grow.
