Publisher's Synopsis

Young Claribel was a girl taught goodness by her parents and lived a happy life, especially when she went to school. Claribel loved her teacher, a kindly woman who taught her students the importance of honesty above all else. Her teacher taught them of the Beautiful City where the Good and Honest children would go one day, and Claribel wanted nothing more. One day in class, whilst working on her math, she became bored and distracted and began to draw a lily that she saw out the classroom window. The devil, quick to pounce on distracted children and lead them away from the path of Good, got inside Claribel's mind and helped her draw her sketch of the lily. When she had to show her work to the teacher, the teacher believed the Claribel had simply gotten confused and helped her solve the problem. Claribel, wracked with guilt over lying to her teacher over the true reason for her not doing her work, dreams of angels and lilies and realizes what she must do to stay on her path of Honesty and Goodness. Bram Stoker (1847-1912) was an Irish writer of novels and short stories, most famous for his gothic horror novel Dracula. Although he wrote throughout his life while working as a personal assistant and theatre manager, he did not achieve much literary fame until after his death.
