'little tricker the squirrel meets big double the bear' tells a rollicking tall tale from the oral tradition of the ozarks mountains about the meeting of a huge bear called big double and a clever fast-talking squirrel named tricker. Big double bear can out-run, out-jump, and out-climb any critter in the bottom, and when he's storing up for the winter, he can out-eat the entire mountain hollow. But he can't get past tricker, who craftily avoids double bear's jaws when he challenges the bear to out-fly him. This is ken kesey's first children's book, which we are planning to publish as a lavish, large trim picture book.
