Joy Smathers has worked hard to live her dream. All her life dolls have fascinated her and now she is a collectible toy dealer, concentrating mainly on dolls. Her entire life is wrapped up in her shop.
It's very important to her to sell two very rare 1962 Ronnie Dolls. The huge monies from the sale can be dedicated to cancer research in the name of Loretta Michaels, the generous friend who gave her money to start her shop before she died.
But when an insurance adjuster, Rich Buckley, comes into the shop to check out the dolls' true value, Joy finds herself irresistibly drawn to the man. He feels the same way about her but is still haunted by his unhappy past.
Rich's partners' grown, bratty daughter has plans of her own. She is determined to win Rich's heart at all costs.
