Making Me Mommy is about our family's journey to parenthood, from the pain of infertility to the trial of fostering, the fear of losing a child we had grown to love, and the day-to-day joy that comes from little hands and feet.
With not a child in sight, and only halfway through the foster care training to even qualify for opening our home, we stepped out in faith and bought a crib. We readied that baby bed with blankets and stuffed animals, and then prayed nightly for God to fill it.Fill it He did! Over the next six years, four babies occupied that crib and filled our home, and our hearts, with a love you can't possibly know exists until you love your child.
Julia was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the midseventies, second in line of four girls. She is the wife of her best friend, Scott, mom to four amazing kids, farm project manager over (at the time of writing, but subject to change if the coyotes get hungry) one dog, two cats, one cow, six ducks, two hens, and seventeen chicks.
She loves to write, run, teach, snuggle with her littles, and photograph the beautiful outdoors and her children, and she loves the Lord.
