The Object of this volume is to furnish a text-book of in struction for the use of teachers and students of Elementary Logic. This object has determined its contents and form. It does not claim to offer any new contribution to the science of Logic, as such, although it is quite possible that, in some instances, the author's way of illustrating known truths may have shed some new light upon them. Still less is it designed to present an exhaustive treatise contain ing all the truths pertaining to Logic which have been reached by the great masters and expounders of the science.
