In the period from 1921-1923, Marcus Garvey travelled across the United States giving lectures and promoting the Black Star Line and the work of the U.N.I.A. He also met with the Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, a move that polarised the black community. This book presents an analysis of the files kept on his activities by the FBI during this time and also considers and reviews his own writings and those of his friends and enemies produced during the same period.
