Publisher's Synopsis

Delia Annette Stripling grew to girlhood as a shepherdess in the beautiful Cotswold Hills of England, knowing nothing of her true heritage or how she came to have a small nick in one ear. She was adopted by Bera and Hut Stripling, who raised her as their own along with their son, Fletcher. But Delia did know she loved to sketch and draw and spent hours designing beautiful gowns for the ton set. She imagined what the aristocracy would fancy as she tended sheep along with Fletch.

Circumstances change and Delia and Fletch find themselves in London. After a short stint as a barmaid, Delia gathers her sketches to venture into the posh parts of the town. Luck is with her as she finds temporary work with Madame Rene, a French courtier who is much sought after by the bon ton set. This is the beginning of amazing developments in Delia's life and her eventual good fortune in romance.
