This resource pack is designed for teachers to match up the work covered by Book 1w of the Macmillan Secondary Mathematics course to National Curriculum (NC) objectives, and to assess their pupils progress in terms of National Curriculum Attainment Targets.;The course guide describes how the contents of Book 1w link up with the NC at levels 1-4, and also how they relate to the contents of the main year of the course. The curriculum map shows how the course matches up with the NC Attainment Targets at each level. This is followed by the chapter-by-chapter analysis of the NC coverage, with suggestions as to how the material in Book 1w can be used to supplement or replace that in Book 1 for the lower ability pupils. Record keeping resources are also to be found.;Only type C and D assessments are provided in part 2 of this resource pack. The type C assessments test pupils on the content of each chapter of Book 1w. Type D tasks are more open ended, and lay particular emphasis on using and applying mathematics, Attainment Targets 1 and 9.;The last section of the resource pack comprises the answers to the exercises and notes on the investigations in the pupil's book.
