A disease that occurs due to high blood sugar levels is called diabetes. There are three major types of diabetes, namely, type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes. Of these, the most prominent type of diabetes is the type 2 diabetes. In type 2 diabetes, the pancreas produces insulin but the body is not able to use the insulin, the way it should be used. The second issue is the inability of the pancreas to produce enough insulin to manage blood sugar levels.
