Meg is just twelve years old when she boards a train, alone, bound for her Great Aunt Joselyn's grand country home. If her mother were not sick, Meg would not have to make the journey at all. She is scared and a little curious as to what she will find there, as her mother and father do not know anything about her great aunt.
