Publisher's Synopsis
Matt Collins is left a crystal by old Mrs Jameson. He is astonished to discover that it lets him tap into the thoughts of the person nearest to him. The gift brings problems: Matt has a row with his best friend, then his sister guesses the truth andwants him to help her cheat in a competition. But when Matt 'hears' a plot to kidnap his best-friend's pedigree dog, he is able to use his skills to prevent the kidnap. This enables him to make up with his friend. Matt finally decides to use the crystal as little as possible as it brings just too much trouble.
