Publisher's Synopsis

'Girls Night In' triple bill of three suitably chick-y flicks. In 'Moulin Rouge' (2001) Christian (Ewan McGregor) is an aspiring bohemian writer, eking out a living in late 19th century Paris. An unlikely series of events result in him impersonating a Duke at the Moulin Rouge, Paris' most decadent club, and he falls tragically in love with its biggest star, Satine (Nicole Kidman). Events conspire against young love as the film speeds energetically towards its fateful conclusion. 'Mr and Mrs Smith' (2005) is an action comedy starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as a suburban couple whose marriage has started to go a bit stale. Both wish for more excitement but, as it happens, each of them is finding plenty of thrills elsewhere. Both are world-class assassins but neither is aware of the other's secret life. However, when John and Jane are both assigned to take out the same target, veil is lifted and their careers and their marriage go through some dramatic and potentially deadly changes. In 1998's Thelma and Louise, waitress Louise (Susan Sarandon) persuades her friend Thelma (Geena Davis) to escape her sexist husband and join her on a road trip. When they stop off at a country bar, Louise ends up saving Thelma from an attempted rape - shooting and killing the rapist in the process. The women consequently find themselves forced to go on the lam. Their adventures along the way include robbing convenience stores and being robbed by a handsome hitchhiker (Brad Pitt)
