Publisher's Synopsis
Mr. Whoo and the Playground Bully, a children's fiction book based on the childhood experiences of an independent girl with physical disabilities, is the first book in the series Adventures of Mr. Whoo and Friends. This book series incorporates humor, the quirkiness of a younger sibling, and an imaginary friend, Mr. Whoo, as well as introducing non-disabled children to the disabled world. In the Adventures of Mr. Whoo and Friends book series, Marie works through social barriers while sharing about inclusion. Mr. Whoo and the Playground Bully is about Marie being bullied at the playground by a boy who doesn't understand differences. She is comforted by Mr. Whoo, he tells her that real friends don't make fun of you, they celebrate your differences. Marie wants to be treated like everyone else so she keeps trying to teach about her disability. In the end, Marie meets a new friend who understands exactly what she is talking about and is okay with Marie just the way she is-Mr. Whoo was right. May all children be inspired to never limit themselves, to know they are valuable and capable, and should never give up seeking their full potential.
