According to the author, the philosophies of Confucianism can be better understood when combined with those of Taoism and Buddhism. This understanding does not come from reading, but from putting the philosophies into daily life activities. The growth of a person with Confucius beliefs is like that of a tree: we need to provide water and sunshine to the young for good harvest of flowers and fruits.
