Publisher's Synopsis
The Artifact resembles a giant fossil, half as big again as the planet above which it floats. Scientists have come to study the alien ecosystem, but when the Tardis crew arrive, they find that one expedition has been murdered, and the survivors of another are fighting for their lives.
