Publisher's Synopsis
This book was published for lovers of poetry who like myself, enjoy poems without prefaces. As a spoken word artist, I've seen how many poets explain their pieces before sharing them at open mic nights. While at times this can give the listener an understanding of what the writer wants to express, it can also minimize the listener's imagination and lead them to focus on one particular perspective. I've chosen to highlight these poems individually in an attempt to give my readers another perspective of my life without any explanations. In doing so, I hope that each piece creates a visual tailor-made for each reader to enjoy. Without further ado, I present to you Pieces of Me.
