Nuclear terror attacks wipe out the entire U.S. eastern seaboard! After the bulk of deadly fallout has settled volunteer military rescue forces are OVERWHELMED by what has become of the exposed survivors of this American nuclear holocaust. The government classifies them as RADIES; Radioactive Advance-Deteriorating Insurgent Executioner Savages. They're zombie-like in appearance due to their edematous, peeling or blood covered greenish transparent skin. They feel no pain. Radies are extremely irradiated humans who were also exposed to containment chemicals from three nuclear power plants carried on high winds from a massive storm taking place just after the blasts. Radies are mentally reduced to their base survival instincts to feed, gather and procreate. They travel in packs of hundreds or thousands.They drive vehicles, they shoot guns, they rape indiscriminately and they eat unexposed human survivors dead or alive.Shannon Kelly and company seem more prepared then the besieged volunteer rescuers who've come to their aid.Captain Becker soon discovers that there's more to this rock star than meets the eye when they must travel through a nuclear wasteland, through hoards of RADIES, transporting 127 children to reach the coast where a boat awaits to carry them to safety. This IF they can overcome the antics of a certain disgraced political figure who believes he should be running things instead of helping his fellow humans survive.
