Publisher's Synopsis

The first three films in the horror series. In 'Puppet Master' (1989) Andre Toulon (William Hickey) discovers an ancient Egyptian power which enables him to give life to his puppets. But far from respecting the life so recently bestowed upon them, the dolls set about causing havoc, murder and mayhem in a variety of ingenious ways. Alex Whittaker (Paul Le Mat) and his band of merry psychics set out to investigate, but then there's nothing the puppets like more than the inventive death of a nice fresh psychic... In 'Puppet Master 2' (1991) the evil dolls are up to their mischief again. This time they are plucking brain tissue from paranormal researchers in order to help their master with his madcap plans. The researchers put up a fight, but they are no match for the perverse will of the demon puppets. 'Puppet Master 3 - Toulon's Revenge' (1991), a prequel to the first film, is set in Berlin during World War II. Scientist Dr. Hess (Ian Abercrombie) is ordered by the Nazis to develop a way of reanimating dead bodies so they can be used as shields in battle but the experiment fails. When the Nazis discover that puppet master Toulon (Guy Rolfe) has created a formula which enables his dolls to move of their own accord, they are determined to get their hands on it for their own use and will stop at nothing to get it. But Toulon and his puppets have their own ideas...
