In the premiere issue of Reflections, we met Miranda and her
bed-ridden, pirate-obsessed brother. Did you think this was just going to be a
slice-of-life story with flashbacks? Well, no: the second issue takes a
startling left turn as it completely abandons Miranda (for now) and plunges us
instead into Riccardo's pirate fantasy. Not only do you get all the
swashbuckling you could possibly want (beautifully delineated by Italian
cartoonist Marco Corona), but after a black and white first installment,
Reflections #2 explodes into lush duotone watercolor like its fellow
Ignatz titles!
