When a few isolated incidents of violence escalate into mass mayhem, and the killers themselves start turning up dead, the flesh stripped from their bones, the Slayer and her companions decide it's time to take a closer look. When they discover that someone is trying to resurrect a powerful Hindu demon to take over the world, suspicion immediately falls on Promila Daruwalla, the school's newly appointed and very persuasive counsellor. Then Giles runs into an old 'friend', the eerily charming and dangerous Ethan Rayne, and Buffy's mother has a run-in with a crazed woman demanding she exhibit her strange Indian art, and suddenly Promila is only one of a number of possible suspects. It'll take all the Slayer's determination and Willow's fledgling witchcraft skills to prevent the raising of Ravana before it is too late.
