Russian Poetry Reader is a a selection of Russian poems from 1752 to1956. The poets featured here represent a fair picture of Russian poetry of the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. However, special emphasis is laid on the lyric poetry of the 19th and early 20th centuries, including women writers and minor poets. The selections vary in their level of difficulty, thus enabling the teacher to make some choices according to the needs of the students in a particular class.
