Margo Nelson Dewkett is co-author of a first-of-its kind textbook, A Comprehensive Guide to Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies, widely used in universities and by PATH Intl. members. She is a former race horse trainer and jockey and the founder and former executive director and head instructor of Windridge Therapeutic Equestrian Center, located in the rolling hills of East Texas. Margo is a PATH Intl. Master instructor and the 2013 EQUUS Foundation/ United States Equestrian Federation Humanitarian Award recipient.
Sage Meadows is based on actual events and Margo's first Christian fiction and its backdrop reveals her love for horses and nature. Margo lives in East Texas where she and her husband Bruce, founded and developed Windridge as a faith-based non-profit organization to offer equine-assisted activities and therapies for children and adults with disabilities.
