Publisher's Synopsis

At issue is the historical fact that french ruling glamor-king Louis XIV was - quite likely - an illegal natural son of the enigmatic sword fighter admiral Duc Beaufort, cousin of Louis XIII, who got lost at Candia war against the turcs during 1669. Beauforts body was never found. The fictional plot is - Beaufort survived! He managed to return secretly back to Paris, where he took-up an old family-charge --- the Grand Coesre office of an all-mighty "peoples"- king of the Parisean beggars-, artisan-, bohemiennes- and underground-scene - i.e. exactly that "king-charge of the people" which belonged since centurys to the Capet/Valois/Bourbon-dynasty and - factually - brougth already Hugo Capet to his monarchique power. Generally speaking - only real existing historical persons take part in this play, disguised by their nicknames resp. their second noble names unknown to the public.
