Publisher's Synopsis
Private detective John Pinnate is asked by a dying man to investigate a blackmailer who has sent him a note demanding that he pay money or he will make a scandal that would ruin him go public. The blackmailers' name is Arthur Braithwaite, who runs an antique shop in the centre of London. Along with an informant, Pinnate realises that Braithwaite was only part of something far larger. As the case goes on, Pinnate discovers that a failed Journalist, a savage hit man and the Owner of a casino and nightclub known as 'Jupiter' are all connected. With danger lurking around every corner Pinnate is plunged into a world of Kidnapping, Drugs and Murder, where even a wrong foot can mean death.
