Publisher's Synopsis
This book is in advance as a gift for a friend, as she loves the Joan Lindsay book and Peter Weir film. I read the book before giving it to her, as I also love the story and thought it would be an intriguing read. It does contain some interesting information and ideas; however, unfortunately it is let down by its poor quality. I lost count of the number of spelling and grammar mistakes contained in its pages. It does not seem to have been proof-read once and many of the sentences do not make sense. There were also a few repetitions of quotes, which in such a short book is very noticeable.
As such, I will lend this book out as a source of interest but will certainly not be giving it as a gift, which is a shame as it seemed ideal.
