Publisher's Synopsis
This text examines both the pedagogy surrounding traditional delivery of courses to business professional students and the impact that the new technologies may have on improving the student experience. It draws on the experience of the authors in delivering and designing academic courses that are wholly or partially supported by web technology. It looks at some of the perceived barriers and reports on a survey of attitudes of business professional students to the use of the Internet to support them. It then looks at some of the issues surrounding the development of course materials with particular reference to the relevance of tutor inputs toward the student objective of achieving successful demonstration of learning outcomes learning outcomes. Some simple derived models assist the practising tutor in the task of embracing the new learning paradigm and designing materials to exploit strengths of the new technologies to enhance the student experience.
