The author is a retired WELS/ELS pastor who served 31 years in the public ministry and now lives in the Twin Cities, MN area with his wife, Judy. As of this publication in 2021 they have been married 54 years, have two sons and two daughters, 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was born in Michigan, but also has lived in South Dakota, Wisconsin, Kansas and MInnesota. He enjoys downhill skiing with his children and grandchildren as well as gardening and creating masterpieces in his woodworking workshop. The design on the author's t-shirt in his photo was painted on a 2x4 by one of the Robertsons from the Duck Dynasty TV series. "Uncle Si" takes it to places he speaks to show what Jesus did. He descended, died on a cross, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven and has promised to come again to take all believers in Him as our Savior back to heaven.
