Frederick Irving Anderson (1877-1947) was an American journalist and short story writer. He began publishing before World War I. He published two books on farming and only three works of fiction during his lifetime, leaving most of his stories uncollected in magazines. He has links to the Rogue school. Some of his early fiction deals with clever thieves. His works include: The Adventures of the Infallible Godahl (1914), Electricity for the Farm (1915), The Notorious Sophie Lang (1925) and The Book of Murder (1930).
