Orphaned at just eight years old, Cecilia Hill is sent to live with distant relatives. It's idyllic compared to where her life began, but without parents to guide and protect her, she feels unworthy and worries she doesn't fit in. So she finds comfort in a ghost she names Walter and her best friend, a little boy named Frankie.Then, as if to prove to her she is unworthy, Frankie moves away. Now Cecilia must find a way to make a home on her own. Will she succeed in making a good life for herself? Will she be able to find Frankie? Or will her past continue to haunt her?
