Publisher's Synopsis
It's been nearly four years since the Battle of Meredith Avenue and the end of the troubles between humans and the robotic Metros, troubles that lasted centuries. Now, the people of Compass Island have begun to get their lives back on track, the struggles only a memory.
But back in Shell Village, a new threat is rising. In a carefully orchestrated attack, four humans steal the Elemental Club from the workshop where it was built. Many believe the Elemental Club was the only thing keeping the Metros at bay, so what will happen when it's gone? Nearly ten thousand miles away, David Moore has returned to his life in Scotland, and his experiences on Compass Island seem in another lifetime. But soon after the theft of the Club, Lily approaches him with an unusual request - for him and his friends Ethan, Scott and Jacob to return to Compass Island and help them find the Elemental Club. And David decides to leave the life he's living behind to deal with someone else's problems, problems that he thinks he can solve once again. This time, however, they don't know who they're up against and they don't have the Elemental Club. Can they still succeed in their dangerous mission when so much hangs in the balance?
