Publisher's Synopsis
The members of the New California Smart Set love to dress in the fashions of the 1920s and dance to the music of that bygone era. They even bring out a magnificent vintage limousine for display at their annual gala - which is promptly stolen. Insurance investigator Hobart Lindsey is called upon to unravel an intricate puzzle that soon leads to brutal murder and an attempt on his own life.
