Richard and Alison Waring fall in love in college where Richard is pursuing a degree that will finally lead him to his goal in life, that of a minister of the gospel of Christ. They marry, and Richard enters the Baptist seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. Richard's personal devotion and sense of call to the ministry is deep and profound and Alison willingly works as an elementary teacher to support them.
