The Twins from Alum Creek were born into the destitution of the southern West Virgina coalfields to a woman who had already thrown away three of her childern. The Great Depressioin was just beginning and what little work there was soon dried up. Follow Innis [Jean] as she's adopted into wealth, marries and bares three children. Her battles stemming from her divorce and being left destitute in middle age. Her battle with alcholism, theft and living on a riverbank. How she cried out to God and He saved her life and removed her from that horrible situation. Eventually moving to Ohio finding a new husband and then finding her twin sister Inez after seventy years.
