Publisher's Synopsis
As Inspector Paco Ruiz stands before a Nationalist firing squad he thinks his time is up. But just before the order to shoot he is reprieved by Major Gomez. Someone has shot the general's dog and Gomez wants an experienced detective to solve the case.
