Daniel grew up as a normal child, so nothing could have prepared him for the frightening turn his life would take. In the dead of night, Daniel is kidnapped to the Almanous, a parallel sphere of human animals with potent totem powers, who rule the earth. Daniel learns that when he reaches the age of seventeenth, he will become the hawk totem and the visions he will see will allow him to save humanity from the evil Neogg. But the hawk's powers are in danger and the heads of the Almanous Council are left with no choice. They take a huge risk to defend the totem, but something goes wrong when a stranger boy named Jacob unexpectedly comes along and changes everything. With his seventeenth birthday approaching, Daniel is put to the test. If he fails - the entire human race will pay the price. If he makes a mistake - the end of Almanous will be near.
