Publisher's Synopsis
In the mid 1980's I was studying for a language qualification and, coupled with some domestic problems, was finding life very stressful. It was a difficult time. Not knowing how to deal with the pressure I took to jotting things down as a means of handling it. The problems were resolved, but I did not stop writing. I discovered that it was easier to write in poetic form.
This book you are about to read was put together over some years. My own term for the content is reactive poetry. What happens, in my case is, a thought or an announcement or news item or even an encounter acts as a trigger, and I sit down and write. I do not sit down with the idea I will write a poem. I hope that all of you who read this book will find in it something to enjoy or wonder at. No doubt there will be elements that are disliked by some. Such is life.
