"At the height of immigration into the United States, Jews, Italians, Poles, and others left their countries fleeing from persecution and seeking a better life. Among theses huddled masses yearning to breath free were the vampires. Vampires fleeing pitchforks and bigotry, wanting to make for themselves a better life. Immigrants like to get together and share stories about the "old country," and the Vampires are no different. The year is 1924, and the place is Towertown, the bohemian Chicago neighborhood where artists, poets, anarchists, and those who are different gather. Many are also immigrants and like to meet to share stories about the "Old Country." Vampires are no different. They, too, gather to share stories.
