In a high-tech world Shai is forced undercover to complete her first Coalition mission and stop a killer. But the tables are turned when she finds out the killer hired an assassin to stop her. An assassin who reminds her of Aliah. But Aliah is dead. Or is he? Aliah is dead and Shai doesn't know how to continue being part of the Coalition without him. Shai retreats underground but when Remiel asks for her help catching a killer she refuses. Until she finds out she will see Aliah again. There's a catch: she has to go undercover and agree to have her memory wiped. Again. When Shai enters the Outerlands as Miya, she soon realizes that the killer has hired a brain-washed Outerlands' soldier to assassinate Shai. And that soldier is Aliah. Shai needs to trigger his memory before it's too late, but first she must remember who she is.
