The book looks at protein folding and intrinsically disordered proteins, which must be seen as heavily interrelated topics that need to be viewed together. The book also looks at the physics of protein/peptide aggregation. Since intrinsically disordered peptides and proteins play a major role particularly in aggregation and self-assembly processes that lead to various diseases (Alzheimer, Parkinson, Huntington, Mad-Cow), IDPs and protein self-assembly must be considered together.

Moreover, protein aggregation cannot be separated from protein folding since it is frequently the product of misfolding. The proposed book will demonstrate the relationships between protein folding, non-folding and aggregation and emphasize the underlying physics.
