Publisher's Synopsis

In a peaceable kingdom a long time ago, the Princess Anna is adored throughout the land. She loves the deer, the quail, and all of nature. The Princess has vowed she will never bow to pressure from her parents, the King and Queen, to marry Knight Ruppert, the wealthiest noble in the country and an expert hunter with the crossbow. The eccentric Henry sells the best maple syrup in the land. Nobody believes his story told to him by his Grandfather of a parallel world. This is an exact duplicate of the real world for which he endlessly searches. Those who live in the parallel world can converse with the forest creatures. Their world is filled with joy and music, and they experience life through the magic of truth which turns the old quickly into the new. Henry secretly dreams of the Princess Anna. The animals warn him that the mighty Ruppert plans to capture and sell all the animals in the kingdom to furriers and animal researchers on the Isle of Killington. Ruppert wants to enslave the people and compel them to turn their forest into a paper mill. Then he intends to abduct the Princess Anna and force her to marry him if she wants to spare the lives of the animals held in his dungeon. Henry and the animals must find a way to combat Ruppert and his weapons of war when they have none of their own. This is the only way they can save the kingdom, the people, the animals, and the Princess Anna.
