It's AD 1264. The English barons are in rebellion, led by Simon de Montfort. Lord Rory's younger brother has joined in the fight against King Henry III - but he has made dangerous enemies. Desperate to help his brother, Lord Rory ignores the murder charges against him and rides to the rescue. But in so doing, he leaves his castle in even greater peril.
